YASHICA ELECTRO 35 GS (HM-4N) - Tested and working with an interactive battery. You can start shooting immediately if you prepare the film.
The "Yashica Electro 35," released in 1965, was a huge hit camera, selling over 5 million units in the series. With the catchphrase "Takes pictures with the light of a single candle," it was equipped with a large-aperture F1.7 lens, allowing for beautiful photos even in dark rooms.
The "Yashinon DX 45mm F1.7" lens, made by "Tomioka Optical," was a key player in the camera's success and is a very sharp lens.
The Yashica Electro 35 uses an electronic shutter (Copal Elek) + aperture-priority AE, controlling the shutter speed with a battery.
The camera's shutter can still be released without a battery, but it will be at a fixed speed of 1/500 second, so the image will likely be completely black.
The "HM-4N" battery specifically for this camera is no longer manufactured, so a battery holder of the same shape has been created using a lathe. (LR44x4 rechargeable type)
The camera was stored in a camera case, so there are almost no scratches, dust, or mold, and it is relatively clean.
The battery check and exposure lamp also light up.
A replacement battery, a spare battery, and a camera case are included.
This is the original lens of the Contax Planar 50/1.4, and I think it is a representative lens of Tomioka. You might be able to see modern depictions within the retro depiction...
Thank you for your consideration.
