Vintage Mid-Century Modern Pottery Vase
Manufacturer: No maker's mark, but I'm quite certain it is Bitossi
Origin: Hand-Crafted in Italy (as indicated by the original paper export label on base)
Style: Mid-Century Modern with a "Scavo" or agateware-inspired finish
Design: Beautiful marbled swirl of dusty blue and dark pink over an ivory base
Dimensions: 11.25" tall x approx. 5" diameter at base / 4.5" diameter at top
Opening at mouth: 2"
Weight: 3.75 lb.
Markings: Retains its original paper label marked "Made in Italy" with shape number "6"
Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The surface features a tiny manufacturer's glaze skip which is only noticeable under close examination (characteristic of hand-produced Italian ceramics from this era).
