This beautiful nesting doll (matrioshka, matryoska) was painted and signed by Russian artist Sergey Korenev in Sergiev Posad, Russia in 1999. The art work is extremely intricate. The set has 15 dolls. The subjects of paintings are famous Russian fairy-tales. The biggest doll is 11.5” tall and 6” diameter; the smallest is approximately 0.5”.
