This is the SONY portable MD player, the WALKMAN MZ-E30.

Regarding operation, MD playback and operation have been confirmed when connected to an AC adapter.
It appears that it cannot operate on batteries alone.
Included accessories are the main unit, remote control, earphones, a genuine SONY AC adapter, a gum battery charger, a dry cell battery case, a pouch, the instruction manual, and the original box.
The gum battery is not included.
