These 55-60 gallon compostable bags meet ASTM #D6400 Standard Specification for Compostable Plastic Bags. They are designed to be composted in a commercial or industrial facility, so they are not suitable for backyard composting. The star seal makes them extra leak-proof, and at .85 Mil thick they can handle your standard household compostable waste with no problem.
