【Work Information】
This is the debut album released in 1987 by a band that caused a refreshing sensation in the 80s UK pop scene. UK original, gatefold sleeve from the time of release (later pressings have a standard single sleeve. The sound is also best on this original version). Although they were not very popular in their home country of the UK at first, this debut album became a big hit, reaching number 23 in the US, and they began to gain attention in the UK in a reverse import fashion. Musically, the beautiful melodies and sophisticated yet comfortable sound composition are wonderful, and they were described as "Steely Dan's child" in specialist magazines. I have stayed for about two days in Dundee, Scotland, the town that gave birth to them, which is a small but beautiful town. I felt a sense of comfort, understanding where their music, with its clear and flowing sound, came from.
