〇 One day, an anonymous tip was sent to the police.
It stated that the culprit of a mysterious murder that occurred a few days prior in a Tokyo apartment would appear at the New Year's Eve countdown party, also known as "Masquerade Night," held at Hotel Cortesia Tokyo.
On New Year's Eve, Kousuke Nitta, a maverick detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division, is called to the investigation headquarters and, as in the previous case, is forced to work as a hotel front clerk for an undercover investigation.
He works with Naomi Yamagishi, an excellent but somewhat overly serious hotelman, to solve the case, but there are 500 participants in the party, all in costume and hiding their faces behind masks.
