Hand-painted French miniature cream and sugar set on tray c. 1960s–1970

A very pretty hand-painted miniature cream and sugar set with its matching tray,made in France during the mid 20th century. Sets like this were often sold in small village shops or tourist markets as souvenirs or children’s play pieces, reflecting the same floral designs found on full-size Provençal tableware. The decoration features a freehand floral spray in soft blue, coral and green on a warm ivory glaze, edged in blue. In excellent condition throughout - no chips, cracks or crazing - and lovely either displayed as a miniature table set or used as part of a dolls’ house or toy tea service.
