This is a mohair vest from Hackney Union Workhouse.
Made with deadstock mohair, this extremely rare piece is a valuable item with only two pieces imported into Japan.
The vest is made of 100% mohair, giving it a luxurious look that's immediately apparent. It has a high-class feel that instantly elevates any outfit, whether worn over a long-sleeve T-shirt or shirt, or layered under a jacket.
Although it's 100% mohair, the lining is 100% cotton, making the fabric durable and not delicate (see photos 5, 6, and 7).
It also has an inner pocket made of the same material as the upper (see photos 6 and 8).
