Almost no moth damage, which is common.
The smell is barely noticeable (typical for vintage clothing). It's wearable.

The insignia and rank badges have been removed, and Gieves metal buttons have been sewn onto the cuffs, allowing it to be used as a double-breasted navy blazer. (The insignia and rank badges are kept, so it can be returned to its original state.)
Please check the photos for a repair on the collar and slight fraying under the armpits of the lining.
The fabric is a thick wool doeskin. The luster and supple feel suggest high quality.
The sewing shows the simplicity typical of uniforms, but the collar attachment and buttonholes are, of course, hand-worked, and there are noteworthy details.
