Danon The Cyclist

Danon The Cyclist: A world limited edition of 50 horse racing cards for the Dubai Sheema Classic. Comes with a case and stand.

The G1 Dubai Sheema Classic (2410m turf) was held at Meydan Racecourse on the 5th, and Japan's Danon The Cyclist (4th favorite) broke away from the middle pack in the straight, leaving France's Carandagan (2nd favorite) 1.28 lengths behind to win.
In the early stages, the 3rd favorite, Shin Emperor, was expected to lead, but as they entered the backstretch, the 1st favorite, Rebel's Romance, overtook the 2nd-placed Do Dezza (5th favorite) to take the lead. After the formation settled down, the race flowed smoothly, and the race took on the appearance of a sprint from the final corner.
Danon The Cyclist kept the 5th position along the inside rail while watching the movements in front, but was covered by Cervinia (6th favorite) from the outside and couldn't move until the straight approached. However, with the pace increasing, Cervinia became disadvantaged, and Danon The Cyclist powerfully extended his finishing kick from the space that opened up, taking the lead in the last 200m. Carandagan, who was behind him during the race, pursued him, but Danon The Cyclist won without letting him get close.

Danon The Cyclist's second G1 victory since the Japanese Derby and his fourth graded stakes win. Last autumn, he had races that didn't quite click in the Kikuka Sho and Arima Kinen, but he showed his Derby horse's true potential again in his first overseas trip. Trainer Shogo Yasuda won his first overseas G1.
