This is a G8 that is rarely reissued.
The condition has faint, inconspicuous stains on the left sleeve and left chest, which I think can be removed by cleaning.
Size: 38 L, Width 62cm, Shoulder 50cm, Length/Sleeve Length 69cm.
The size is comparable to a Buzz Rickson's MA-1 size 42.
Generally known as the WEP, the official name of this flight jacket is J-WES (Jacket, Winter, Flying Suit).
As the name suggests, it was designed to be worn with trousers, and the jacket lining has tabs for connecting to the trousers.
There are four models of the WEP, and the final model is specification number MIL-S-18342C (commonly known as C-TYPE).
The WEP C-TYPE was established by the Naval Weapons Bureau in 1966 and produced between 1967 and 1973.
The color of the early WEP was a slightly lighter leaf green, but the C-TYPE is olive green. A characteristic feature is that the knit part of the sleeves is V-shaped, which is a major model change from the previous type.
The polyester padding makes it lightweight and warm.
Price not negotiable.
