This is a so-called soft hat, a shape that was made in Europe at the time. The crown narrows towards the top, and the top crown has a valley-shaped dent, making it a center crease type.

The material used is high-quality antelope-finished wool, which is finer and more lustrous than regular wool. Among rabbit fur hat bodies, the highest quality is the one with short hair that has been brushed, called antelope, and the smooth texture of rabbit fur has been faithfully reproduced with wool.

The brim is a wide brim of about 8cm. While the edges are roughly cut, triple stitching is applied to maintain strength.
The ribbon uses a special gentleman's ribbon with finely shaped ends (commonly known as "ears"). It can only be woven at a low speed, and requires the manual work of skilled craftsmen in many processes, making it a luxurious item. Its beautiful finish gives it an exceptional presence that cannot be found in mass-produced products.

A wind catcher, secured with rubber, is attached around the crown. At the time, it was used to prevent the hat from being blown away by the wind or falling off during movement, by passing a button through the flower hole of a jacket or shirt.
