This is a very nice piece , very old primitive. If you take the time to look it over you will be able to see the way it's made better . Although it is primitive irs in great condition nice and solid . The lid is in a great shape opens and closed as should. This is sturdy great condition some patina that I personally would let be to be able to keep that i feel makes it look great but I've also seen them completely shined up some linseed oil on the wood and the beauty is in the eye o f the beholder. Luckily patina is visual/ cosmetic...not affecting drinking from the mug . This measures 6" Tall, 7 3/4" if you measure to the top of the center knob . The diameter taken from the bottom is 4 3/4"
