A cardigan from ULTERIOR made of pique fabric.
This cardigan is inspired by the traditional Japanese haori. The sleeves are attached with a straight pattern, and the low sleeve cap creates a smooth silhouette that flows naturally from the shoulders to the sleeves. The center back is the only seam, and it is finished with a taco binder to improve comfort and add an accent to the back style.
The material is a pique knit made of 120d cupra and cotton in a high gauge. The surface has an uneven texture, which reduces the area that touches the skin, providing a cool feeling and excellent breathability. Because it is knitted in a high gauge, it is thin and has a nice drape, resulting in a very light finish. In addition, the difference in dyeing between the two types of yarn is used to express shades of color with a single dye. Furthermore, by fibrillating only the cupra, a dull luster and a smooth, powder-like surface texture are created.
