▪️40s CHIPPEWA Chippewa Vintage Wool Flannel 1940s Elbow Patch Red

I (165cm/53kg, slim build) could wear it with a good feel,
The sleeves covered my little fingers.

【Condition】
It's an old wool product, but apart from some moth-eaten areas that are only noticeable when held up to the light,

The collar/cuffs, elbow patches, and reinforcement patches are in very good condition, making it a rare find that can be worn without issue even by those who dislike this type of old shirt!

【Remarks】
This is from around the 1940s, a rare piece even among the many vintage shirts from Chippewa, which have a good atmosphere.
(You can tell at a glance from the overall atmosphere, the outward-flared collar and hem)

It's a simple piece that exudes an aura.

You can see the reinforcement patches in the full-body image with the front open, and the details halfway down the hem.

It's a pattern that retains the pullover style seen in old shirts.

You can tell from the wide width, which suggests a box silhouette, which is very rare for this era.

The buttons are large, and as shown in the image, it's natural to wear a shirt underneath and enjoy it like a shirt jacket.

The buttons are two-hole, old-style Bakelite, and the hem is a long tail x round hem, which is much rarer than the gusset specification, and is designed with appearance in mind.

The elbow patches are seen for the same reason in Pendleton, but they are a detail to prevent the deterioration of the fabric when the elbows are placed, unlike those on hunting shirts.

I don't like the itchiness of wool, but this one is not a problem at all.
