- INCLUDES 3-PACK OF GLIDELOKS PLUS 6-PACK OF 24" EXTENSION RODS. You will use 2 extension rods per GlideLok (1 rod for each side of the door). The 24-inch extension rods allow for you to reach the GlideLok if your door is too tall (or you are too short).
- BEFORE ORDERING, CHECK YOUR DOOR THICKNESS. Works on most hinged doors up to 1-3/8 inches thick (or up to 1-13/16 inches thick after removing GlideLok’s spacer bar). OK for interior and exterior doors, French doors, and doors with knobs, handles or large / oddly shaped levers. NOT compatible with any type of sliding door on a track, such as sliding glass, bifold or pocket doors. Also NOT compatible with patio screen doors, storm doors, double doors that swing in both directions, or metal door fr
- MUST DRILL 1 SCREW (INCLUDED) INTO YOUR DOOR FRAME. The screw goes on the side of the door WITHOUT the hinges. For exterior doors, this is typically the exterior / outside part. (But the GlideLok can still operate from either side.)
- SITS ON THE VERY TOP OF YOUR DOOR SO KIDS CANNOT GET TO IT. Unlike most door lever locks, door knob covers or other door locks for kids safety, the GlideLok rests on top of the door and overhangs each side the same way a saddle does. This means it’s fully out of your child’s reach to mess with it. The GlideLok’s sophisticated look works well with most home décor. GlideLok is the only door top child and toddler safety lock made of sturdy, painted metal instead of flimsy plastic.
- ADULT CAREGIVERS CAN OPERATE THE GLIDELOK FROM EITHER SIDE OF THE DOOR. You won’t be trapped on the wrong side of the door while your kids are left separated from you on the other side (a common issue with most door handle lever locks). The GlideLok can also be left disengaged if you don’t need it for an extended period, so you wouldn’t need to unlock it each time.
